WebJan 29, 2015 · The EV 27 is fine with no other work to the motor. I would just use the -b tappets from the MoCo, but the S&S will work just fine. You should do something with the spark box. An old SE box if you can find one. If not, then something like the side mount Dynatech dual fire would be fine. I have a slightly less manic EV 23 in my '96 which runs sweet and sounds lovely. BTW you should have changed the inner cam bearing for the Koyo / Torrington one while you were in there. WebAny camshaft with with a duration under 250 degrees and lifts below .500 can be considered bolt in. Extensive testing by Jerry Branch (Branch Flowmetrics) indicates that any group of camshafts with similar lift, duration and lobe separation angles tend to perform in similar fashion.

WebMar 3, 2013 · I have always used ev27 cam's as it seems like the best all around riding cam. If your looking for more torque restrict the exhaust to add some back pressure. You do have all the things you need for the 46 to work but I still don't like that cam. The cam I would suggest for you to use would be the W6h or W6 from woods.
