The white wire connector (which provides the feed for the alternator) to the back of the alternator has a good connection. If your system worked...and there is little reason why it should not...but now does not then suspect a wiring issue. Testing a current sense tacho with a signal generator won't work.

Replaced the back lights with blue LEDs - so the orginal backlighting and the rev counter all have the same colour at night.
