That green piece literally blew the top out of itself last time I plugged it in. I have one of these in my lounge setup and for the price they were a good starter sub, they came is series 1 ,2 & 3 if yours has a squared off top edge it will be a Mk1 or 2 if it has a rounded top edge it's a MK3 like the one I have.
