WebJun 25, 2008 · Yeah..the name is silly..but the amp is killer for a 5150 alternative, as well as having tons and tons of other tones buried in it. I've been playing mine for over a year, and theres whole areas I haven't explored yet. Nice amp for a good price. It also has the upside that the master volume works really well. WebDec 12, 2016 · Peaveys were not designed for a clean channel. They are as labeled. Rhythm and lead. I know Ed said the 5150 II had better cleans. But the amps were never supposed to have a "clean" channel. And I used the rhythm channel on my old 5150 for cleans. But it wasn't made to do cleans.
