My experience was quite pleasant and made for fond memories during my visit and exploration of North Cascades National Park. The BC fires and two fires near Chelan had left the air fairly smoky, but not bad, but noticed there were no mosquitoes flying around, which was a bonus! The campground is over a low hill from Winthrop and about 7 minutes by car to town, and about 10 minutes to Twisp. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying there.

Try to spot the Lyall Glacier as you walk by. To the right are Twisp Mountain and Stiletto Peak. Continue along Bridge Creek until you finally reach Rainy Pass.
